Welcome to the Hindu Conference of Canada!
The Hindu Conference of Canada ("HCC") is a registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to upholding and promoting the interests of Hindus.

Based in Toronto, we are a national organization with branches in Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia. We enjoy strong support among the 700,000-strong Canadian Hindu community.

Our membership includes entrepreneurs, university professors, and other professionals. Our members and Directors have expertise in many fields including political science, technology, immigration policy, and economics and finance.

Our organization raises awareness about issues which affect Hindus and India, and are also of importance to Canadians and Western democracies. India, a Hindu majority nation, embraces the ideals of democracy, liberty and freedom. Hindu communities in the West, including Canada, are affluent, law abiding, and well educated. For these reasons, Canada and Western democracies have a vested interest in supporting Hindu interests and defending Hindu rights.

We believe that there is insufficient awareness among Canadians regarding Hindu contributions to Canada and the world. Canadian politicians, media, and institutions are often unfamiliar with Hindus and India; in particular, there is a dearth of awareness of the democratic traditions, technological expertise, and economic leadership of Hindus both in India and in Western nations.

Additionally, Hindus are often victims of false propaganda and unfair stereotyping. Our goal is to identify and remedy these misperceptions.
